I have been passionate about natural and Chinese Medicine for a long time. I have seen this medicine change lives and it certainly has changed mine.

Whilst Chinese Medicine is exceptional at aches and pains, the potential is so much greater.

My passion is to utilise the medicine to do so much more than alleviate pain through assisting others to transform their life and discover new potential and possibilities.
Acupuncture and assisting with chronic and debilitating Pain
If you suffer from chronic pain, you are not alone. One in five Australians over 45 are living with persistent, ongoing pain (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, 2020) which can be disabling and stressful, making it hard for a person to work and do the things they enjoy.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States issued guidelines recommending “Non-pharmacologic therapy and non-opioid pharmacologic therapy are preferred for chronic pain”. Acupuncture has a significant potential role within the context of a non-pharmacological therapy (i.e. medication) chronic pain treatment strategy.

In 2015 research by Lewis et al., (2015) statistically compared 21 individual non-surgical interventions for sciatic pain (a specific type of powerful lower pain) which included 122 relevant studies and ranked each chronic pain intervention effectiveness against one another. Acupuncture was ranked second out of 21 treatment strategies.
